Cameras are mechanical extensions of the human eye. They are able to capture a slice of reality and make it possible to go back in time just as how human memory works. Cameras have made huge contributions in the research of life and nature. Researchers make use of cameras in animal and biodiversity studies in order to observe and study animal behavior. Some animals are very sensitive to a foreign presence and they hide at any sign of intrusion. By installing cameras in natural habitats, researchers are able to study their behavior without physically intruding their territories. Sometimes, the animals would notice the cameras, just like real or fake surveillance cameras in stores, but they usually do not mind them as long as they are not surprised by the sudden movement of the camera. Since these cameras are usually perched on top of trees, chimpanzees and birds may interact with these interesting objects out of curiosity.
