There are four possible causes of the puffiness and discoloration under the eyes commonly called as under eye bags. The first is one your genes. If any of your family members naturally have under eye bags, then there is a big possibility that you would get these also. Second is allergy with one of the probable manifestations being the dark circles under a person’s eyes. The third cause is disease. Kidney disease and hypothyroidism can actually lead you to develop eye bags. Still another cause is, of course, lack of sleep.
It is important to find out what caused the eye bags in order to be able to address them properly. If the eye bags are caused by allergy or disease, they would disappear once the allergy or disease is addressed thus taking the proper medication is the way to go. On the other hand, if the eye bags are attributed to genes or lack of sleep, a good eye cream would certainly do something good. Plus, you cannot discount the role of getting that needed sleep in remedying the problem.
