With US national debt in a mess, ways to alleviate some of the financial pain is to find the best place for your retirement. Many things come into play when considering where to go. There is no one place for everyone. One person’s paradise can be another’s nightmare. If you have special interests there are things to consider. If you are a gambler, you would go to Nevada. If you are a golfer, you have some checking out to do. The choice places for retirement below have been checked out for climate, crime rate, life expectancy, and cost of living. The best state, surprisingly, is New Hampshire for its super low crime rate, modest living costs and reasonable taxes. Next is Hawaii for its great weather, followed by South Dakota which is both safe and affordable. Go online and check out amenities in the State you are most interested in. Do you want to be near the theatres or golf course or want to live near the beach? Research the weather and storm conditions of the State you choose.
